Welcome to Psoriasis Ireland
Cork Fashion Show
Our very first fashion show fundraiser was a huge success last week.
The ‘Dare To Reveal’ event was the brainchild of Cork girls Theresa Tierney-Bugler and Lisa O’Connor.
Their dream turned to reality on Thursday evening when glitz, glamour and high fashion took over Cork International Airport hotel.
Theresa and Lisa joined other models, all suffering with psoriasis, on the catwalk.
The girls and guys didn’t put a foot wrong as an audience of 200, including Sean Gallagher and his wife, Trish, applauded every move and pose.
Though the girls were apprehensive at the start, the evening went off without a hitch.
Certainly all the models disguised any nerves under the splendid clothing provided by Mahon Point shopping centre (SC). Thanks to Shanti McNulty, Marketing Manager at Mahon Point for providing all the clothes on the evening. In addition, a big thanks to Dee Kelly Morgan, stylist at Mahon Point SC who picked out the clothes for each model and who also acted as MC on the night.
The event was heavily publicised through local and national print, broadcast, online and social media. Thanks to Ken Curran Communications for securing excellent media coverage and support in organising the event.
I hope that this is the first of many such fundraisers!
Well done everyone,
Caroline Irwin,
